About us

Camila Charask & Clara Galperin

Camila Charask is a political scientist specialising in cultural studies. From 2014 to 2016, she participated in the founding of MERIDIANO, the Argentine Chamber of Contemporary Art Galleries, serving as its first executive director until 2019. Previously, she coordinated SODAA, the Visual Arts Export Consortium, a tripartite programme between the ICBC Foundation, the Argentine Agency for Investments and International Trade, and six commercial galleries in Buenos Aires.

In 2020, she received distinction for her Master's thesis in Arts and Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London. Previously, she distinguished herself as a speaker at Access Conferences: on cultural heritage, artistic practice, and intellectual property organised by the Art and Law Departments of the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2019); her role in amending the Free Circulation of Artworks Law (2018); and the organisation of the First Conference on the Internationalisation of Argentine Art at the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, MALBA (2017).

Clara Galperin is an art historian and curator. In 2018, she completed her Master's degree in Art History at Stanford University in California. Previously, from 2013 to 2017, she pursued a double major in Art History and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at the same university, receiving the Christopher Meyer Prize in Art History (2017) and the Stanford Alumni Association Award of Excellence (2017). In 2021, she completed her second Master's degree in Modern and Contemporary Art and the Market at Christie's in New York.

In 2017, she worked as an assistant in the Painting and Sculpture department at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA). From 2020 to 2022, she participated in the founding of INCUBATOR, an emerging artist gallery based in London.

Institutional Projects

Espacio Vital x Beatriz Bardin,
Buenos Aires, 2023

In collaboration with Supermayorista Vital in Buenos Aires, Beatriz Bardin has pioneered the creation of “Programa de adquisición de artistas” [Acquisition Programme for Emerging Artists], designed to create an equitable collection through the yearly activation of an open call in select educational spaces throughout Argentina.

By participating in the programme, emerging artists are given a chance to submit their work for review to a panel of judges, who are carefully chosen to reflect different interests and sensibilities within the Argentine art-ecosystem. The inaugural year institutions were Programa de Artistas de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella [University Torcuato Di Tella Artist Programme], Programa Artistas por Artistas [Artists by Artists Programme] y Taller Compartido [Shared Studio]. The jury includes artists Adriana Bustos and Carlos Herrera, as well as the directors of the celebrated galleries Ruth Benzacar and Barro.

Delfina Foundation x Beatriz Bardin,
London, 2022, 2023, 2024

In partnership with the Anglo-Argentine Society, and with the support of the Argentine Embassy in the United Kingdom, Beatriz Bardin coordinates a two month residency at Delfina Foundation.

This residency is part of the Bridges Program, designed by Beatriz Beardin and The Argentine Embassy UK to foster cultural exchange by inviting an Argentine curator to participate in research and cross-cultural dialogue at Delfina Foundation in London. A guiding vision of Bridges Program is the recognition of curators and cultural practitioners as one of the most apt vehicles to foster these networks and exchanges.

For its inaugural iteration in Autumn 2022, the programme hosted Javier Villa, Senior Curator at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires, who works exploring relationships between local imaginaries, politics, and territory. Click here to see an interview with Javier.

For its second iteration in Winter 2023, the programme hosted Andrei Fernandez, an independent curator based in the city of Salta, who works on issues of authorship, memory, and colonial resistance in indigenous cultural and artistic practices. Click here to see an interview with Andrei.

The Jewish Museum x Beatriz Bardin,
New York, 2023

Beatriz Bardin has collaborated with the Jewish Museum in New York as liaison for Marta Minujín’s first US retrospective, “Arte! Arte! Arte!,” on view from November 17th 2023 to March 31st, 2024. Working as a liaison between the artist and the museum’s curatorial team, Beatriz Bardin has undertaken archival research, facilitated the creation and translation of supplementary artist interviews, and aided in the creation of the catalogue for the exhibition.

Pinacoteca São Paulo x Beatriz Bardin
São Paulo, 2023

Beatriz Bardin has collaborated with the Pinacoteca of Sao Paulo in the production of their exhibition: Marta Minujín: Ao Vivo, on view from July 29th, 2023 to January 28th, 2024. Working closely with curator Ana Maia Antunes and the production team at the museum, Beatriz Bardin has undertaken archival and video research, overseen the production of works and facilitated the creation of the catalogue for the exhibition.
